Recently we were privileged but saddened to attend the memorial service for a dear friend we’ve known since we were all single during the Jesus Movement back in the 70’s.
When I think of Father’s Day, my heart goes in many directions. I’m grateful for my own dad who raised me in church, and taught
me the value of hard work and dedication to family. But I also think of those with difficult dads, those who don’t know their dad, and those who have lost their dad. These conflicting thoughts are tough.
Grief is hard to understand until you’ve lived it, and it’s something we will all experience at some point in our life. However, few of us will be prepared when it comes.
